Cylinder Gases - Industrial

Through our 4 fill plants we have the capability to service all your Industrial Gas needs. Including Nitrogen, Oxygen, Argon, Argon Mixes, Helium and CO2. To ensure our customers receive the finest and safest product possible every one of our cylinders go through a quality check before and during the fill process. This quality check consists of the following;

• Examining the cylinder for any damage (Arc Burns, dents, excessive rust)
• Checking that the cylinder is in "test".
• Checking for leaks from the valve or valve stem.
• The correct gas label is applied and legible.
• Cylinder has correct paint color code.

Micro-Bulk Systems

When your gas usage increases to a point where High Pressure or liquid cylinder won't meet your needs, S.J. Smith offers A Micro-Bulk solution. These Micro-Bulk systems offer the following benefits:

• Eliminates time spent changing cylinders, managing delivers, and handling liquid cans.

        Specialty Gases

S.J. Smith proudly operates a 10,000 sq.ft. specialty gas plant in Decatur, IL. This facility is dedicated to providing our customers with the highest quality pure, mixed, and custom blended gases available. Through this plant and our partnerships we are able to supply all your specialty gas needs.

Along with being able to supply all your cylinder gases, S.J. Smith also has the capability to track your cylinders through our barcode system. This system allows us to track the location of your cylinders when they are delivered to you and when they return back to us. This allows us to keep your cylinder balances accurate.

Laser Assist Gas Systems

We offer a variety of laser assist gas options, ranging from HP cylinders to a Trifecta system. Just give us your pressure and flow requirements and we will work with you to select and customize a system to maximize your laser performance.

Cryogenic and Technical Services

At S.J. Smith we don't rely on an outside contractor to install our Cryogenic and Compressed gas systems, we have internal Cryogenic Technicians that are trained to design turnkey installations for any cryogenic, compressed gas, or specialty gas system. These technicians can install bulk tanks, micro-bulk systems, manifold systems, mixers, back-up systems, piping, and point of application equipment. They can also maintain and troubleshoot your existing system.

Onsite Telemetry

Are you constantly monitoring your product and placing phone orders?  We can put an end to this. S.J. Smith has the ability to monitor you gas systems electronically with our Onsite Telemetry system.

This system takes daily readings of your gas system and relays that information back to our website. When your gas level gets to a predetermined point the system will alert us, allowing us to schedule a delivery without you having to place a call.

Medical

S.J. Smith fill plants also have the capability of filling medical oxygen cylinders. With this capability we can fill your B size cylinder all the way to your T size cylinder. We also have a dedicated Medical Sales person to help you with any of your medical related questions.

Bulk Gases

If cylinder gases or Micro-Bulk don't meet your gas use needs then installing a bulk tank might be the solution. With the resources of S.J. Smith and our partnership with BOC, one of the worlds largest gas producers, we can install and fill L.I.N, L.O.X. and L.A.R. bulk tanks of 300 gallons and up.
