Certified Welder Training Program (CWI)

S.J. Smith and its Certified Welding Inspectors (CWI) and educators (CWE) have developed The Welder Training Program.

To reduce costs and stay competitive, companies must constantly improve welding practices. Better welding quality and reduced welding costs are the only way to boost your productivity. To help you achieve that goal, S.J. Smith has translated our expertise into a comprehensive training program run by certified welding inspectors/educators able to train your staff on any topic.  We currently only offer this as an on customer site service but we are more than happy to refer individuals looking to become more proficient to your local community college.

Not much larger than a briefcase, Stick/TIG inverters such as Miller's CST 280 free up a significant amount of space in this welding training booth (and will fit in tight spaces on job sites, such as welding boiler tubing inside a power plant).

Oxy-Fuel Training

The Oxy-Fuel torch is one of the most versatile and unfortunately most hazardous tools in our industry. Knowing and following the safety guidelines and practices established for the Oxy-Fuel torch is vital to safe operation. In one and a half hours or less, S.J.
